More than 100 million children have experienced the joy and power of a simple gift through Operation Christmas Child, a project of international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse. It starts with empty shoe boxes packed by caring families, churches, and groups. Those gifts then travel to countries around the world and end up in the hands of children who need to hear about God's greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. But it doesn't really end there. Many children are able to participate in a discipleship program called The Greatest Journey where they learn more about Jesus and how they can share Him with their friends and family. The gift is simple, but the impact is powerful. Learn how you can impact the life of a child by packing a gift this year. National Collection Week for shoe box gifts is November 18-25, 2013.
