 
Larry-Boy Video Honored!
Parenting Magazine
has honored Larry-Boy & the Fib from Outer Space! with
its highest award for children's videos. This first Larry-Boy
story teaches a lesson in telling the truth.
In
the February edition of the magazine, Larry-Boy is one of the
videos honored in the "Video Magic Awards." As a way of recognizing
this feat, Parenting awarded Big Idea Productions their
Certificate of Excellence for distinguished achievement in children's
videos.
As an introduction
to the award winners for the year 2000, the article says: "Video
Magic Award winners are distinguished by outstanding visual artistry,
exemplary narration, creative musical accompaniment, and memorable
stories sure to satisfy and draw in young viewers again and again."
Talking specifically
about Larry-Boy & the Fib from Outer Space!, Parenting
says: "The eye-popping animation is among
the best ever done strictly for video, and the nutty, out-of-this-world
characters are visually and emotionally appealing as well. As
screwy as they are, though, they're down-to-earth when it comes
to dealing with life's curveballs."
